The Chadron State football team will be playing its only Nebraska opponent on the schedule this season when it visits the University of Nebraska at Kearney Lopers at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Called the “Good Life Trophy,” this tall, shiny object will be presented to the winning team following the Chadron State/Nebraska-Kearney football game beginning Thursday night when the Eagles and the Lopers collide in the season-opener at Elliott Field in Chadron. The teams are due to play one another the second game of each season in the foreseeable future.
