For the first time in 18 years, the Chadron State College men’s wrestling team has four entries at the NCAA II National Championships that are this weekend. The action will take place at the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14.
As is usually the situation, Chadron State senior Keegan Gehlhausen was totally in charge of this match against Donn Greer of Colorado State-Pueblo in January, the first time Gehlhausen had wrestled at home this past season. It ended early in the second period with a technical fall. Â
Chadron State senior Quade Smith, shown moving on top of Josh Jaramillo of Colorado State-Pueblo this season, qualified for Nationals for the first time in his fifth season with the Eagles. He has a 23-5 record and is the No. 7 seed at 125 pounds.
