Crawford junior Cody Holmgren was the leading 6-man pass receiver in the state with 41 catches for 918 yards and 16 TDs. He also was the Rams’ leading tackler with 75 and earned first-team all-state.
After winning 10 straight games and reaching the semifinals of the state’s 6-man football playoffs the previous year, the Garden County Eagles took a couple more big steps this past fall and won the whole shebang in 2025. They finished with a perfect 12-0 record and won all of their games by at least two touchdowns.
Sioux County senior Baxter Reece was the Panhandle’s leading 6-man rusher with 120 carries for 1,108 yards also made the most tackles, 104, while playing in only seven games.
Hay Springs junior Tripp Buettner had lots of roles this past season. He completed 17 of 24 passes for 378 yards, rushed for 947 yards and 21 touchdowns and caught 20 passes for 434 yards and 11 TDs.
