High Country Guest Ranch

Spend the day at High Country, starting with a trail ride in the stunning beauty of the Black Hills National Forest. Our world-champion wranglers will guide you on a leisurely ride through the pine-covered hills. Not up for a trail ride? We also offer old-fashioned wagon rides with our team of mother-daughter draft horses. The ranch has three access points to the Mickelson Trail for hiking and biking. When your afternoon adventures wrap up, head over to Dakota Hall for a tasty western dinner and music show with the Circle B Chuckwagon. Children of all ages love the western activities in the Old West Town, especially the shootout with Sheriff Dale & the Biscuit Bandit.

Looking for a vacation getaway? The ranch is home to 12 spacious log vacation homes and 10 cabins, tucked in the heart of the hills only four miles west of Hill City. Additional amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, breakfast bar, golf cart rentals, hot tubs and fire pits. There is a convenience store onsite for your last minute needs. Only minutes from Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park!
