The Board also discussed the Districts old administration building on University Avenue. The Board has been researching how to sell the property since staff was moved out of the building last summer.
At Monday's meeting, Superintendent Kevin Coles informed the Board that the District was legally obligated to designate the building as surplus and have the building appraised to move forward with selling the property.
The Board voted to surplus the building and hire an appraiser. Once the district has a value for the building, the board will then be able to send a request for proposal to realtors.
Also at the board meeting, Dennis Fischer was hired as the district's new business manager and Levi Klippenstein was hired as the activities director.
